Good morning, ladies and gentlemen:

　　In this sunny spring morning, I’d like to deliver a speech of welcome to all of you on behalf of all the teachers from UIBE. Your choice of choosing UIBE as your higher education university has turned a new paper for us and I believe for you. Long-distance education on net is a totally new technological education. We’re determined to face the challenge with all our efforts, and I believe that all the people sitting here will try hard to learn well. I personally believe that you have overcome all different types of obstacles and difficulties to study here. And I sincerely hope that you’ll spare no efforts trying to learn as much as possible. And also I’ll believe that all the teachers will try their uttermost to do their job well.

　　As you know， Beijing will be the host city for the 29th summer Olympics here in August. That will definitely be the most important event for our county as well as for you! I now sincerely hope that you all would joint it in your own way. That’s, some will be the volunteers directly serving the games, some will come to the games as audiences and still some will just cheer for our athletes at your home.

　　Now, I just wish that everybody would try our best to welcome, to congratulate and to applaud it.

　　Anyhow, thank you very much to joint us. And I sincerely hope that you’ll complete your course of study successfully.
